All-State Arizona AAU Swimming and Water Polo, state record holder.
Graduated El Segundo High School, California with school record.
1967 blew out knee in college
Viet-Nam Veteran U.S. Navy 1969-1973
12th Naval District Champion 200 fly 1970
1984 Knee repaired in 1hr 54 min operation.
1985 swam first Masters meet, goggles around the neck!
1986 Went to first Nationals Portland, 5 fifth places- started weight training for the first time.
1986 Made All-American for 200 Breast Short Course Meters, fastest time in country, second in the World.
1988 2nd place 200 BRST at LC Nationals, World Record in 200 Medley Relay.
1989 broke two world records at Pan Pac's in Indianapolis, only to finish 4th and 5th! What a meet.
1990 broke left elbow permantely damage, I can only bend the elbow 85 degrees.
1991 Paris France, won 50 breast against former world record holder from U.S.S.R. Gave first clinic on Breaststroke to National team.
1992 Swim Meet Glasgow Scotland, won all breast events.
1993 Made All American 200 Brst. Short Course Meters. Fastest time in World.
1994 Made All American 50 Brst. Short Course Meters. Second in the World.
1994 Swim Meet Glasgow Scotland, won all breast events.
1995 Swim Meet Glasgow Scotland, won all breast events. Gave clinic on Breaststroke, Starts and turns.
1997 First individual National Championship, 50 yard breast. Part of El Segundo's Small Team Mens and Combined National Championship
1998 ASCA Level 2 Certification obtained
2001 ASCA Level 4 Certification obtained, made Top Ten in USA for 18th year in row.
2002 Certified by American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) Certified Level 5 Masters. ASCA Level 5 Certificate
